Żabie Doły
Żabie Doły is a name of the wildlife and landscape complex between Chorzów and Piekary Śląskie. A complex of ponds and little lakes was created in the area of more than 225 hectares, among former burrows, embankments and caves, resulting from industrial and mining activity. More than 70 bird species, including rare and the ones threatened with extinction, have their nests in their vicinity, and the area is inhabited by numerous mammals and reptiles.
