Ormož

Ormož, Slovenia – the town is situated at the bank of the Drava River, near Maribor. It has ca. 17 thousand residents. Bytom established cooperation with Ormož in August 2013 when the joint study visit to Slovenia took place following the invitation from the Association of the South-Western Mazovian Communes. The cooperation got formalized on 9 June 2017 by signing the partnership agreement by and between the cities. In this way, they declared their willingness to cooperate with respect to implementing local-government programmes in the area of culture, arts, education, sports and tourism, public security, support for the local entrepreneurship as well as the cooperation between regional local government and non-governmental organizations.
